Working with Powerhouse Learning has dramatically improved both my professional and personal life. "I can honestly say that my attitude has changed from being scared to turn that corner to work to looking forward to the challenge of overcoming an attitude problem. Profession and knowledge is a valuable asset
"When Brandie and her program first came into our lives, I was skeptical and apprehensive. Who is this stranger? Why is she here? Who does she think she is, coming in here telling me I’m to write down procedures? I do them every day, why should I have to write them down?
As you can see, my first (basic) instincts were multiple. First, she was here to clean house; second, she was here to make changes; third, she was here to tell me how to do my job; fourth, she was going to change the workflow procedures.
Well, I was wrong on all counts. The program has been a welcome contributor to the improvements that have developed in the company. They didn’t come to clean house, but rather she provided the owner with proven methods of helping the staff become more productive in their daily job performance. A successful company doesn’t just happen. It takes hard work on the part of the owner and with a staff of dedicated, respectful and loyal employees. A written workflow procedure manual is a must for reference and training. (Now I get it! She wanted to make sure all the procedures are written so we all do the various tasks the same way! Wonderful!) These factors are evident in successful companies by virtue of the annual revenues and a low percentage of staff turnover. Happy staff stays with an employer; unhappy staff departs.
Their team helped the staff thru individual soul-searching in an effort to find out what makes us tick. She had us write down our strengths, weaknesses and challenges. Then she helped each of us see how we could expound on the strengths and at the same time, how to overcome the weaknesses and challenges. I’m especially appreciative because she helped me analyze and conquer my weaknesses and challenges that generate negativity. When I feel one of those negative bugs nipping at me, I repeat one of their infamous quotes 'It’s not about me' and I move on.
She came in with new ideas on how to accomplish our daily job duties in a more efficient and effective way. She has presented suggestions on more effective time management methods. She has been the mediator over the typical office issues and has been fair in those mediations. I can go to Brandie with any problem or concern and feel confident that she will help me thru it with her expertise and knowledge.
We are all creatures of habit, fearful of change, frightened of strangers. But without change and without meeting new people we become stagnant. Change is good and growth in our profession and knowledge is a valuable asset. I’ll never say ‘I’ve learned enough’ – knowledge is power and if I’m not willing to try something new or different, I’ll have missed out. Brandie has helped me see that her intentions are all good and she is here to help not to hinder. I for one can say I truly appreciate her coming on board."

Great change in the staff

"I have been thru many 'sales' classes over the years and what sets their program apart is that they work on what I need to work on, not a curriculum. Our weekly calls range from the fundamentals to actually working on prospecting letters and the specific words and format to use.
